I had never heard of Monument Rocks in Western Kansas until I saw it on a NOVA special. They rise up 75 feet from the plains of Western Kansas. In one pic you can see our van to help you get an understanding of their size. Pretty cool stuff.

Monument Rocks is kind of out in the middle of nowhere but it’s worth the drive. It’s about 1.5 hours NW of Dodge City.
